Luz Rios continues to solidify her place as a top Artist in the Latin Music scene. She has already earned two Latin GRAMMY nominations, two Billboard Latin Music Awards, a Premio Lo Nuestro Award and earning two wins as a songwriter at the BMI Awards for her hit singles "Aire" in 2010 and "Humano" in 2011. The song "Aire", written by Rios, featured duet vocals by singer-songwriter Joan Sebastian, a Latin music icon who in his 35 years of career had never recorded any songs that were not composed by him. Luz's latest Single " I Love You Boy", flawlessly showcases Luz's masterful vocal ability and has already caused quite a stir in the music industry due to its 50's fun, upbeat, California vibe-a departure in sound for the transcendent singer. The Spanglish track is supported by a video produced by Luz herself. The single will be featured on Luz's 7th album "Liberación", scheduled for released early 2012. Hailed as the "Mexican Ann Wilson of Heart" by the New York Times, Luz's astounding vocal ability has transverse across genres to the Mariachi scene where her tribute shows are in high demand. Beyond the music, Luz is committed to contributing to the community supporting such causes as the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Los Angeles Children's Hospital, GRAMMY Museum and Musicares. "I Love You Boy" is available on ITUNES in Radio, Instrumental and wihout vocals versions. "Navidad Feliz (La Guerra Se Acabo)", a spanish version of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Happy Xmas (The War Is Over)" will be on radio rotation this Holiday season. A duet single with international Bachata sensation Domenic Marte is scheduled to drop in early 2012. |
